TRI FOX NEWS AND LOTS OF IT!!!  7 ITEMS.

1. APRIL CLUB MEETING....APRIL 6TH..TITLE TOWN BREWERY GREEN BAY
Hey everyone, our April meeting is right around the corner and it will be held at a great venue!  We are the FOX CITES Triathlon Club, so let's show our Green Bay members, who have travelled to Appleton for the last 6 years, that we support them, too!! Let's get a great turnout....if you want to carpool, just place a message on our website forum section.
Fox Cities Triathlon Club April Meeting
Sunday, April 6th - 4:00pm Title Town Brewery - Green Bay
Race directors Sean Ryan and Gloria West will give us the inside scoop on what it takes to put on their races. Most of us enjoy doing their races, but don't know just what it takes for them to be successful. From blocking off roads, police help, city & county permissions, sponsors, and all the other things that go into a race. A Bazillion details (as we are learning from our 5K plans).  Gloria and Sean are wonderful assets to our tri community and we are very grateful for all of their hard work....if not for them, we'd have very few local races..and they are very interesting speakers!

Title Town Brewery is smoke free and has fresh home made beers and delicious food. To check out more about Title Town go to their website. You can start picking out your beer(s) of choice and take a look at the menu for dinner.

Come try a home brew and have some fun with other club members. Directions to Title Town in an upcoming blast.

2. Wednesday night runs ......Thank you all for participating in our Wed. night runs.  The weather is getting nicer, and we should be able to run on the Apple Creek Trail soon.  If you are a beginner runner, this is the perfect run for you.  We have been keeping it short and slow.  If you are an advanced runner, there's room for you also.  We are hoping to offer a longer run for those folks.  Nobody gets dropped.  So, I would like to see more experienced ( but not necessarily fast) Tri Foxes help out.  Runners of all abilities are encouraged to join.

We meet at the Ballard and 41 park n ride at 6:00 every Wed. night.  If you suspect bad weather, check out the Tri Foxes web site.  We will announce any cancellation on the main page.  Thanks,

4. FOX FIRECRACKER 5K ON THE 4TH OF JULY   update
your TRI FOX race committee is very busy preparing for what we hope will be a great race and a major fundraiser for the club....we have logos,
sponsors, a course, police support, and so many people volunteering...we have lots more to do, but we are building a great event! Plan your 4th of  July with a bang of a start...8am...4th of July...5K.

5. TRI FOX BRACELETS

I read an article recently about one of our members who did not remove his silver race bracelet after finishing the Ironman..he looked at it as his source of power and courage and strength...all of the things we displayed on our 2007 TRI FOX DVD. Why don't we get TRI FOX bracelets that we can wear to show ourselves, our community, and each other what we believe in:
The bracelet is  practical , water proof and a great reminder of what we want to accomplish or have accomplished.  If you are interested in us purchasing the bracelets please email me.
If we get enough interest perhaps we can make the bracelet a reality!!! Any recommendations as to what should be printed on the bracelet will be appreciated.
thank you,
Marybeth

Our triathlon season is getting closer...please make sure you are riding your bikes, running, and swimming...try to get in as much very early season training as possible...remember our 13 week training plan you got at TRI 101 (also on the website)...and please stay in touch with your "Find a Fox" mentor...our first Tuesday night ride "might" take place on April 15th depending on the weather, but make sure your bike is tuned up and you have some miles under your belt...even though we don't drop anyone, it is important that you get ready...make sure you have a proper fitting helmet and the necessary equipment...and please get ready now....don't wait until the bikes leave the parking lot at 6pm...we want this to be fun and a great experience and that means preparation and planning on your part!!
